When I began writing, I filled what little extra time I had by attending creative writing classes, workshops, critique groups, and my local writer's league meetings. I read how-to books on writing and dissected every novel I got my hands on. I gleaned some terrific information, but often times it all seemed so overwhelming.
I still work on honing my skills, but I've learned to pick and choose tidbits that get right to the point--valuable information that can be chiseled down into a few words.

The desserts are unbelievable, the relationship advice is funny and practical, but the writing advice takes the cake (pardon the pun). I've begun using my book as a daily writing inspirational tool. The advice is short, sweet, and right on the money.
